You will work closely on matters requiring legal engagement with Ofgem, LCCC and DESNZ, including our funded decommissioning plan, managing public money, regulatory claims, grid connection, and compliance with the evolving UK energy regulatory framework. This is a strategic role advising on our critical economic license. You'll work closely with senior colleagues in the Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial and Delivery teams, as well as with external advisors and government stakeholders, to ensure the project's economic regulatory obligations are clearly understood, effectively managed, and consistently met.

About the Project

Following on from the success of the new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C (HPC), the Sizewell C Project (SZC) in Suffolk is the UK's next nuclear power new build project. The project has obtained planning approval and has started construction works. It has recently achieved Financial Investment Decision (FID), meaning that all the funding for the full lifespan of the project is now secured and in place guaranteeing the full delivery of this new nuclear power station. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050. Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

At Sizewell C, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's most significant low‑carbon projects helping to power millions of homes and make net zero a reality.
