Opportunity

Join our expanding Sizewell C team on one of the UK’s largest nuclear projects, contributing to Britain’s Net‑Zero agenda.

Role

Provide expert legal advice and support on economic regulatory matters, especially SZC’s electricity generating licence under the regulated asset base model. Work closely with Ofgem, LCCC, DESNZ and other stakeholders, advising senior colleagues on regulatory claims, grid connection and compliance with the evolving UK energy regulatory framework.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales) with strong experience in regulatory or infrastructure law, ideally in energy or major projects.
  • Experience working with regulated industry sectors (Ofgem) is desirable.
  • In‑depth understanding of UK regulatory frameworks relevant to large‑scale infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Strong analytical, drafting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to non‑legal audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
