Commercial Legal Counsel
Step into a dynamic in‑house role where your expertise will guide the UK and India‑based legal team through the ever‑changing world of commercial agreements. You’ll be the trusted advisor ensuring that every global client contract is built on a solid legal and commercial foundation, aligned with NES Fircroft’s internal procedures and risk principles.
What you’ll be doing
- Contract Champion>: Negotiate and advise on commercial contracts for diverse service lines—permanent and contract recruitment, staff leasing, employer of record services, RPO, and MSP agreements.
- Master Negotiator: Lead discussions on contract terms and conditions with external clients, interpret complex clauses, assess commercial risk, and craft clear, robust documentation.
- Global Legal Explorer: Research and advise on labour and employment laws across foreign jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and smooth operations worldwide.
- Strategic Advisor: Support new ventures in emerging and existing territories, collaborating with stakeholders to design compliant engagement routes and commercially sound models.
- Risk Guardian: Uphold NES Fircroft’s Schedule of Management Authority (SOMA) and safeguard our commercial risk framework.
- Dispute Defender: Protect NES’s position in disputes, breaches, or claims involving clients or contingent workers.
- Compliance Navigator: Monitor global labour legislation and regulatory updates, presenting insights to the Legal Director and ensuring the business stays ahead of change.
- Data Protection Specialist: Provide guidance on global data protection laws impacting clients and contractors.
- Tech Innovator: Drive efficiency by leveraging technology and AI in legal processes.
- Knowledge Builder: Deliver onboarding training for new starters, demystifying legal processes and engagement protocols.
- Credibility Builder: Maintain and enhance the reputation of the Global Legal team through best practices and proactive support.

What We’re Looking For
- Essential Credentials: Law degree, legal qualification (UK or international), and 3+ years of in‑house experience—ideally in global recruitment.
- Contract Negotiator: Skilled in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with a practical, risk‑aware approach.
- Detail‑Oriented Analyst: Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset to tackle complex challenges.
- Calm Under Pressure: Proven ability to deliver results in fast‑paced environments and tight timelines.
