Key Responsibilities

  • Support the closing of enterprise commercial agreements by leading on drafting of appropriate contracts.
  • Review, optimise and standardise where possible, customer, vendor, and distributor agreements, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.
  • Support corporate transactions, company secretarial, asset sales, and joint ventures.
  • Manage fundraising documentation, corporate governance, and equity administration.
  • Safeguard and manage Uniken’s patents and other IP assets.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across all business units.
  • Partner with our compliance manager to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations GDPR, SOC 2, AML, KYC, sanctions, and other global data protection and financial regulations (US, UK, EU, APAC).
  • Manage disputes, litigation, and investigations in collaboration with external counsel.
  • Advise executive leadership on corporate governance, regulatory developments, and ethical business conduct. Provide clear, commercial risk mitigation strategies to guide decision‑making.
  • Deliver training on relevant topics such as anti‑bribery, sanctions screening, fraud prevention, and corporate criminal liability.
  • Drive the development and implementation of Uniken’s global legal strategy aligned with growth objectives.

Experience & Skills

  • Qualified lawyer (UK, US, or equivalent), including in‑house experience at a SaaS, RegTech, FinTech, or cybersecurity business.
  • Strong expertise in commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and data protection across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven ability to operate independently while providing strategic legal leadership.
  • Excellent business judgment, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment, balancing risk with opportunity.

Location: Remote, London. This is currently a remote role, however you may be required to commute into London a few times a month.
