We're a law firm that specialises in media, technology and intellectual property. We have around 250 people, based mostly in Cheltenham and London.
We are looking for a senior legal PA to join our corporate law team, which may include additional PA coordination responsibilities.
Your role will primarily involve providing an exceptional level of PA support to a small number of lawyers in the team, including the partner who leads the team.
In addition to the usual document production and administrative level support you expect of a legal PA role, you will play an important part in the billing process for our clients and will provide a significant level of true PA support to the Practice Group lead and others as required.
This will involve a highly proactive role in diary management and UK and international travel and scheduling arrangements. You\'ll ensure that the lawyers you support have exceptionally well-planned trips, taking care of the small details as well as ensuring the major travel arrangements are in place.
You'll support the partners with keeping on track of business development and management responsibilities and help ensure the team runs smoothly.
You'll be involved in other activities as required, consistent with that of an experienced PA, to support our lawyers provide an excellent client service and grow the business and to help ensure our business runs efficiently and cost-effectively.
With the right experience, you may adopt a supervisory role, which includes managing the team's Junior PA and coordinating and allocating work among other PAs in the team, alongside helping with inductions and onboarding arrangements for anyone joining the team.
About you
You’re an experienced legal PA, used to supporting senior level partners and liaising with clients and other stakeholders.
You'll have strong skills in the Microsoft office applications and have excellent written communication skills - able to draft appropriate straightforward emails and letters to clients and third parties on administrative and similar arrangements as required.
You’ll be extremely organised, detail and service focussed. You'll be highly competent with a range of IT applications and able to pick up new systems and processes easily.
Corporate law can be a demanding environment with fast paced work and challenging deadlines. You will need to be responsive and resilient, to cope with competing priorities and communicating a sense of calm control.
Ideally you will have some experience of managing or developing others and you\'ll be able to build strong relationships with people across the firm.
