Location: Remote with travel to Inverness once a quarter – must be based in Scotland

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant seeking your next challenge? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality management accounting services across a broad client base, including both hospitality and non-hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely preparation of management accounts and related reports in line with agreed deadlines
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies, managing client expectations throughout
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members to achieve departmental objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Providing guidance on technical accounting issues to ensure clarity and accuracy
  • Creating and updating detailed process documentation for each client and ensuring team compliance
  • Staying informed on developments in management accounting to maintain high service standards
  • Collaborating closely with senior accounting staff to stay aligned on client needs and challenges
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving efficiency
  • Maintaining consistently high work standards and attention to detail
  • Supporting other areas of the business as required, including technical and administrative tasks
  • Completing ad hoc duties as requested by senior management

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified, part‑qualified, or qualified by experience in a fast‑paced accounting environment
  • Strong understanding of financial transactions and underlying accounting/taxation rules
  • Ability to manage workloads independently and take full accountability
  • Proactive and solutions‑focused with a commitment to technical accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in working with colleagues and clients at all levels
