Overview

The Management Accountant will take full ownership of financial operations for both UK & Australia entities. This is a hands-on and varied role, working closely with sales, project, and operations teams, the successful candidate will support end-to-end financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all aspects of month-end close for the UK & Australia entities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
  • Maintain and manage the UK & Australia finance systems (UK: Sage 50; Australia: Xero; ERP implementation moving to Epicor).
  • Coordinate the submission of UK and Australia payroll and tax filings in partnership with external advisors.
  • Support UK & Australia statutory audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and provide insight to support working capital management.
  • Collaborate with project and operations teams to understand workload and revenue recognition.
  • Oversee the customer invoicing and revenue recognition process, ensuring invoices are raised in a timely manner, resolve queries, and recommend appropriate credit limits.
  • Oversee accounts payable processing and approvals.
  • Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up to date.

Profile / Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and financial regulations.
  • Proven track record in a multi-entity or international environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business.
  • Ideally a driver to get to location.
