Mechanical Project Manager role based with David Leslie Ltd, partnered with TieTalent, covering South Coast and London projects. The position is based just west of Southampton, United Kingdom, with projects in healthcare and medium-scale commercial sectors across the South Coast, Central London, and Kent.

Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 depending on experience + company car + benefits package

Role details

The successful Mechanical Project Manager will manage a range of pre-designed and design & build projects valued between £500k and £2M. You’ll enjoy a varied week with time spent on site, in the office, and occasional working from home, with full involvement in projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Delivering mechanical projects from inception to completion
• Managing a mix of pre-designed and design & build schemes
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced staff
• Carrying out site surveys, managing variations, and taking a hands-on approach when required
• Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard

Qualifications / The ideal candidate will have

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager (project values £500k–£2M)
• Flexibility to travel to sites across the South Coast, Central London, and Kent
• A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to continue learning
• Comfortable managing responsibilities both on site and in the office, with the willingness to take a hands-on role when required

Salary and benefits

• £70,000 to £80,000 depending on experience
