Contract Type:Permanent - 1 x North West, 1 x Midlands
Location:Homebased - We are recruiting for two MHA reviewers. One will be based in the North team and one in the Midlands team.
NorthWest - regular travel to Greater Manchester or Merseyside is essential, though you maybe asked to travel nationally on occasions.
Midlands – regular travel acrossthe East Midlands is essential, though you may be asked to travel nationally onoccasion.
Assessment Process and Venue:
Interviews will be part of a face to face assessment centre, this will includea paper based written assessment and an interview. The assessments will take place in Manchester and Nottingham at a venue to be confirmed.
AssessmentDates:
NorthWest (Manchester venue) – Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 September 2025
Midlands(Nottingham venue) – Thursday 18 and Friday 19 September 2025

Developed and delivered an individual MHAmonitoring plan which details activities, timelines and priorities
Managed a portfolio, escalating risks andissues as appropriate.
The role
You’ll be key in helping us deliver our work. In this role,you’ll:
Work closely with your regionalcolleagues, working flexibly to monitor the use of the MHA to highlightthe experiences of people detained under the MHA
Contribute MHA expertise to the Inspectionprogramme to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality andsafety.

You’ll have experience of working in orwith inpatient mental health services
You’ll have in-depth knowledge and workingunderstanding of the MHA and the Code of Practice
You’ll have a passion and commitment toimprove the experience of detained patients.
