Overview

NCEA Land Access Database Technical Lead – 31738. This role supports the Environment Agency’s Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (NCEA) Programme, delivering an operationally vital part of the landowner data management for monitoring networks. The post is national in scope with a flexible working location and some travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best possible access arrangements for monitoring networks.
  • Maintain landowner datasets and perform spatial analysis for NCEA networks with strong data management and GIS skills.
  • Provide expert technical leadership through training, guidance, and optimization of data management processes.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot access and programme delivery challenges.
  • Be adaptable and proactive, responding effectively to evolving priorities.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience with geospatial data and interacting with internal and external customers; ability to manage datasets.
  • Interest in driving a data management project that informs environmental management and decision making.
  • Willingness to develop networks, work across projects and programmes, and collaborate with a range of colleagues and partners.
