Network Development Manager, NCN Planning

As Network Development Manager for NCN Planning, you will work closely with councils and partners to identify and initiate projects that will enhance and expand the National Cycle Network in Scotland.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Sustrans' Paths for Everyone Strategy, shaping the future vision for the National Cycle Network across Scotland.

In this role, you will collaborate with local authorities and partners to identify, develop, and manage projects through feasibility and design stages, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with strategic goals.

Your daily responsibilities will include handling network inquiries from the public, councils, and interest groups, fostering and maintaining internal and external relationships, and traveling across Scotland as needed to oversee projects.

About you

You should have experience in transport planning or a related field, with strong negotiation skills and experience working with stakeholders and public sector entities.

Skills in advocacy, project management, report writing, and team coordination are essential.
