OMNIA Lead Scheduler Project Controller at Raytheon UK. Lead Scheduler/Project Controller role supporting the Omnia Training Team within the Raytheon UK Enterprise Performance Group (EPG). Hybrid location with on-site requirements primarily at Warminster; travel to other Raytheon UK offices may be required.

Position

Lead Scheduler/Project Controller

Role context

You will work in a matrix organisation and report operationally through OMNIA Training and functionally through the Raytheon UK Enterprise Performance Group (EPG). You will advocate for robust project controls, metrics and business intelligence reporting to ensure on-time delivery and informed decision making. You will support the British Army and contribute to transforming collective training.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development and integrity of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and ensuring that all activities, events and milestones are logically linked, fully resourced, fully cost loaded and aligned to the fiscal calendar.
• Lead and support schedule development as the programme progresses.
• Support the Programme Manager and Control Account Managers with analysis of trend data and provision of programme metrics, presenting these at metrics review boards and customer meetings as required.
• Ensure contractual and programme baseline control management is adopted with a clear auditable trail for change.
• Support the Programme Leadership Team with the generation and analysis of EVM data, and Earned Value variance root cause analysis.
• Perform analysis such as critical path, schedule risk analysis, BEI analysis as required.
• Monthly collation and analysis of finance data such as schedule derived ETCs.
• Support the development of Programme Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS) to ensure effective cost and schedule reporting.
• Support Bid and Proposal activities through the development of schedule scenarios for impact analysis.
• Support the Programme Risk & Opportunity Management Process and internal Risk Review Board with risk identification, documentation, and risk analysis for schedule and cost impact, including tracking of mitigation and capture plans within the IMS as required.
• Maintain a focused balance between the use of company standard tools and the development of reporting through customised reports in Power BI.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience operating in joint or matrixed teams
• Ability to communicate across military and industry partners
• Focused on outcomes, delivery, and operational excellence
• Seasoned professional in a Project/Programme Controls environment
• Ability to provide clarity, insight and solutions to difficult issues
• Ability to coach lower tier professionals
• Experience with Microsoft Project EPM 2010/13/16, and other Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI; ability to learn internal EVM and schedule metrics tools
• Strong written and verbal communication across all levels of the business
• Ability to work with diverse project teams and stakeholders and communicate cross-functionally
• Ability to support, guide and influence project teams to align with Raytheon standard practices
• Ability to lead supplier and partner schedule integration
• Commercial and Business awareness in a complex projects environment
• Experience working with multi-disciplined teams across geographically dispersed sites
• Current holder of, or eligibility to obtain, SC MoD security clearance
• Knowledge of IMS and EVM integration; practical experience with Power BI and ability to translate user requirements into reports

Desirable

• Experience of working within the Defence Industry
• Working knowledge of training transformation programmes
