Operations and Improvement Principal Consultant - Process Optimisation in Financial Services

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid working with in-office or client site requirements. Role based at PA Consulting, London Victoria office with typical client engagement expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops and provide evidence-based insights to manage complex and senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Hands-on delivery of operations and improvement initiatives with clients to solve operational and supply chain challenges.
  • Lead and contribute to projects focused on operational effectiveness, process optimisation, service design, change and implementation management, and training development and delivery.
  • Work with clients to build improvement capability and operations excellence, delivering real and lasting value.

Qualifications

  • Financial Services cost optimisation and operational improvement experience, preferably across banking and wealth/asset management clients.
  • Core experience delivering operational improvement across front, middle and back office service areas.
  • Proven track record of leading assignments and teams; ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate challenging discussions.
  • Experience deploying advanced techniques such as digital technologies, cost improvement, and change management.
  • Ability to deliver creative and innovative solutions; strong interpersonal and team-working skills; comfortable across system finance, service design, governance, capacity and workforce modelling.
  • Independent working style with ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and maintain high service standards; drive for personal and professional progression.
  • Prior consulting experience with a large consultancy or internal consultancy function is desirable.

  • Ability to work with multiple levels of an organisation and across diverse project teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required by client engagements.
