Operations Executive

We are looking for a talented individual to join us as an Operations Executive - Assurance in Glasgow or Liverpool. In your role, you will perform key duties associated with Operational Assurance functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and application of CASS Safe Custody rules. You will perform the daily duties associated with all Operational Assurance functions, including effective processing of transaction dealing errors and ensuring ongoing compliance with the relevant FCA CASS rules. This is a varied role, offering a comprehensive overview of Operations and exposure to senior stakeholders and the leadership team. As an Operations Executive - Assurance, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and within deadlines, reporting anomalies to your line manager, and meeting personal and team KPIs/KRIs/MIR. Assisting in the collation of MI and highlighting issues to management.
  2. Responding to telephone and email enquiries professionally and promptly, liaising with fund managers and external parties, and escalating issues as necessary.
  3. Logging, maintaining, and responding to written client enquiries promptly, ensuring all client and external documents are relevant and up to date.
  4. Contributing to team task reviews, identifying improvements to enhance client service, and participating in ad-hoc project work.
  5. Maintaining a high-quality culture to minimise errors and ensure high service levels, including data input, document checking, and payments, escalating issues when needed.
  6. Understanding and applying the Group's Conduct Risk Framework, and maintaining knowledge and skills through regular CPD.

To be successful in this role, you should:

  1. Have a demonstrable interest in financial services, particularly investment management.
  2. Respond to queries from internal and external parties promptly, providing excellent customer service.
  3. Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with basic Word and intermediate Excel skills.
  4. Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally, especially to senior audiences.
  5. Be able to understand and summarise complex information professionally and concisely, solving problems accurately and efficiently.
  6. Organise workloads effectively to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable qualifications include experience within a financial services institution, especially in Operations, and relevant professional qualifications such as the CISI Investment Operations Certificate.
