OverviewJoin to apply for the Paediatric Audiologist role at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.This is a 12-month opportunity for an Audiologist to join the Children's Paediatric Audiology Service based at Brighton General Hospital, with the post being based at the Seaside View Child Development Centre at Brighton General Hospital. There is an expectation to work at other sites in Haywards Heath and Crawley. Hours can be flexible to suit you (up to 26.25 hours per week over 3 to 4 days).The service is IQIPS accredited and supports paediatric experience and progression into paediatrics.We welcome applicants who are developing paediatric audiology skills with a primary focus on hearing assessment, in collaboration with senior audiologists, audiology assistants, and the broader multi-disciplinary team of the child development centre.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development of the Paediatric Audiology service, departmental protocols, and policies; participate in service objectives.Promote the use of social media for the children’s audiology service and develop the web-based patient/service interface in line with SCFT and national guidelines.Contribute to local clinical guidelines and care pathways.Assume delegated tasks as requested by the line manager, including participation in working groups and policy development groups.Depuitise as necessary for duties within the Paediatric Audiology Service when requested.Undertake other duties commensurate with the role as requested by the line manager.Fully participate in the Trust’s appraisal system and personal development planning; contribute to agreed personal, service, and trust objectives.Provide supervision and personal development reviews to team members as assigned, ensuring compliance with the SCFT appraisal process and related support services as required.We are the main provider of NHS community services across East and West Sussex, employing around 6,000 staff serving 1.3 million people, delivering essential care to help people manage health, avoid hospital admissions, and reduce hospital stays.Benefits and ValuesOur Trust’s vision is to provide excellent care at the heart of the community.
