Firstpoint Healthcare are recruiting for Palliative Care Nurses for either ad-hoc shifts or long term vacancies. Pay Rates: £22.41 - £35 per hour

Full and part time opportunities on both day and night shifts available to suit all applicants. Working as a Nurse at Firstpoint Healthcare can include working in a variety of NHS hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a person-centred approach to serve and protect the dignity of patients and their care plans.
  • Lead and delegate medical tasks including assessments and evaluations of care plans, observations and record keeping.
  • Liaise with doctors and GPs.
  • Order, administer, store and dispose of controlled drugs in line with specific guidelines.

Skills Required

  • Syringe Driver administration
  • IV infusion
  • Symptom & Pain Management (Pt controlled analgesia)
  • BiPap/CPap

There is no requirement to drive and shifts are tailored to your availability, lifestyle and location.

Qualifications

  • Current NMC registration, with no restrictions on practice
  • 6 months experience within the NHS in your chosen setting
