Equifind has partnered with one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in the UK to assist in the recruitment of a Payroll Manager. This newly established position is based at the company's City of London office, with an expectation of in-office attendance three days per week.
Backed by leading venture capital firms and some prominent angel investors, this high-growth fintech is redefining the landscape of financial security and personal investments. Utilising cutting-edge AI and algorithmic technology, the company is rapidly scaling and delivering strong YOY growth.

- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for the UK business and a small number of Canadian and Italian employees.
- Perform reconciliations and post payroll journals, with a sharp eye for identifying and correcting errors.
- Support and liaise with internal teams and external providers to ensure smooth payroll operations across multiple time zones.
- Work with the Finance Director and wider team on ad hoc analysis and finance projects initiated by the CFO and CEO.
- Maintain clear and accurate records for audits, reporting, and compliance purposes.
- Develop knowledge of, and eventually take ownership of, benefits administration, including the company's stock option scheme.
- Ensure clear understanding and application of debits and credits in relation to payroll accounting.
What's On Offer:
- £50-60,000 base salary.
- Discretionary annual bonus.
- Company share options.
- Ability to work from home two days per week.
- Employer pension contribution.
- 27 days annual leave.
- Free lunch when in office.
- Private medical insurance coverage.
- Group income protection.
- Plus, a host of additional perks and benefits!
What We're Looking For:

- Strong understanding of payroll accounting, including reconciliations, journal postings, and error detection.
- Comfortable working independently in a sole contributor payroll role.
- A good foundational grasp of debits and credits.
- Interest in or enthusiasm for learning employee benefits and equity administration.
