Payroll Officer | Hybrid | Nottingham | £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional ready to take the next step in your career? Join our fast-paced Finance team as a Payroll Officer and help ensure accurate and timely payroll for our dedicated employees.

Location: Nottingham NG1 (Hybrid - 3 flexible office days per week)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am-16:30pm (30-min lunch break)

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Processing monthly and weekly payrolls end-to-end
  • Managing electronic timekeeping and accurate pay distribution
  • Reconciling timesheets, calculating holiday pay, and maintaining employee payroll records
  • Handling statutory payments, pensions, student loans, tax codes, and holiday accruals
  • Investigating and resolving payroll issues
  • Liaising with HR on employee changes and supporting compliance reporting (ONS, NMW audits)

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in a payroll role (weekly and monthly cycles)
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (Select Pay and/or People Planner preferred)
  • Confident with manual calculations and data accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Awareness of payroll regulations, data protection, and audit processes
  • CIPP qualification is a plus, but not essential
