What’s the role?

Reporting to our Senior People BP, you’ll work with a number of our business areas based in our colourful office in North Acton at least 3 days a week (typically Monday to Wednesday) and 2 days from home.

In this role, you’ll help drive performance by acting as a coach and trusted advisor to our managers, supporting employee engagement, implementing our people plan, looking at trends and metrics, resolving employee relation issues and encouraging our managers to think about their people, their development and how best to grow their talent.

You create the right balance between doing the right thing for our people and the commercial needs of the business and will also act as consultant and change agent on organisational changes.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted advisor to our leaders and people managers by building strong relationships and providing a commercial people perspective.
  • Help promote a positive and high performing culture by supporting talent development and contributing to conversations around performance.
  • Provide solutions to ER challenges, keeping abreast of all legislative changes and best practice and implementing solutions in line with our Values.
  • Work closely with the People Operations team to ensure all our people information is up to date, relevant and on brand.
  • Spend time working with people managers, the Learning and Talent team and other People BPs to improve and grow our talent.
  • Sometimes you will help facilitate and deliver creative and innovative training.
  • Support the TA team and your leaders to recruit the right people in the right place at the right time.
  • Advise and support on the people budget for their area.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge and experience within a similar role.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Analytical and goal oriented.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice.
  • Be CIPD qualified or a relevant alternative qualification (or working towards this).
  • Can drive results through people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with HR software (preferably Workday although not essential) and show you are IT savvy.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
