Overview

People & Culture Business Partner (Fixed term contract) – 12-month fixed term contract. Hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week from the Birmingham office, UK.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment for UK roles, build strong talent pipelines, and deliver onboarding experiences with check-ins for new starters.
  • Culture & Engagement: Champion a vibrant, values-led culture; lead engagement initiatives based on survey insights and employee feedback; review and enhance wellbeing and benefits offerings.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Provide expert advice on employee relations in line with UK employment law and ACAS guidelines; update and implement HR policies, contracts, and practices as required.
  • Business Partnering & Development: Coach and support line managers; promote people programs; collaborate with global teams on people projects.
  • Remuneration & People Operations: Support UK remuneration reviews and benchmarking; maintain accurate HR records, leave tracking, and personnel files; provide administrative support for a smooth employee experience.
  • Office Management: Be the primary contact for Birmingham office, including office supply orders and coordinating repairs/compliance with building management (e.g., fire safety).

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational organisation.
  • Experience providing commercially balanced HR advice across a broad range of people matters.
  • Ability to translate business goals into impactful people strategies that drive performance and growth.
  • In-depth understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
  • A CIPD qualification, or substantial progress toward a tertiary qualification, is desirable.
  • Experience developing and embedding HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills; ability to balance conflicting priorities.
  • Experience supporting annual employee lifecycle events, including talent and remuneration reviews.
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition at all levels and building talent pipelines.
  • Customer-centric, approachable, and a team player with a professional approach to confidential issues.
  • Strong alignment with OES values.
