We’re on a mission to make people happier – one pizza at a time. Want in?

We’re looking for a passionate and people-loving People Partner to join the Pizza Pilgrims team — It is a real well rounded people role, working within the people team & in partnership with the Operations team to ensure that our ambitious people strategy is delivered. It hits all aspects of the employee life-cycle & we are looking for someone who’s excited by culture, committed to inclusivity, & ready to roll their sleeves up to support our teams across the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

Inclusion & Culture – Lead on DE&I projects, deliver inclusive training, & embed our values: Be Yourself, Push Yourself, Respect Others, Enjoy Yourself.

At Pizza Pilgrims, we aspire to create an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves, feel genuinely cared for and have equal opportunities for growth and progression. We are committed to building a diverse team that includes and respects a variety of voices, identities, backgrounds, experiences and perspectives; which creates proper happiness, just like our pizzas do!

Right people, Right Place – Work with our Managing Partners (Operations) to plan headcount, build out talent pipelines, & keep our team structure strong. Ensuring we don’t have gaps, supporting when we do & people are in the right roles to enable them to be their best self. Working with the L&D Partner & Academy Training Manager to make sure that we have the right learning & development tools & programmes in place to support their growth.

Supporting Growth & Performance – Coaching & supporting our managers with how they grow & develop talent within their pizzeria, ensuring they are using the resources & tools around them & we have live succession plans in place across the business. Proposing & implementing new ways of managing performance to get the best from all our teams at every level.

Employee Experience – Run exit interviews, manage trends in absence & engagement & champion wellbeing.

Listening – Play a key role in our Team Heroes Forums ensuring each pizzeria/key area is represented & groups come together quarterly to discuss & move the business forward for the better. You, alongside our existing People Partner, will manage our bi-annual Happiness Survey & other engagement initiatives, reporting back on the trends to the business. It is important our teams at every level are heard & great ideas implemented & celebrated.

Employee Relations – Advise managers & operations on people issues, coach on policy, & support complex cases with confidence.

Being your Best Self – Support the wellbeing initiatives throughout the business, working closely with our wellbeing champions internally & our external partners. We support our teams with all aspects of their life, not just their work & it is important to Pizza Pilgrims that we can offer the right support when needed, offering guidance through the good times & the more challenging times too. You will also bring new ideas to the table to support this mission.
Recognition & Reward – Help us evaluate our Pizza Perks & rewards, making sure every Pilgrim feels valued.
