Description You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the personal tax department, reviewing the team’s work, and offering guidance and support. You’ll also manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ranging from individuals to families and business owners, providing clear, practical advice on a range of tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and submission of personal tax returns for a varied client base.
  • Overseeing and reviewing work prepared by the team, ensuring technical accuracy and quality.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to junior staff.
  • Offer practical advice across a wide range of personal tax matters.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering proactive guidance and identifying planning opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with changes in personal tax legislation and HMRC guidance.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and compliance is handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum ATT qualified; CTA or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Solid background in personal tax work.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and reviewing team output.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
