The PMO Analyst provides essential support to the Project Management Office by maintaining accurate project data, producing reports, and ensuring adherence to governance standards. This role focuses on operational delivery, data integrity, and process consistency, enabling effective portfolio oversight and informed decision-making in a regulated environment.

Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of PMO governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with internal standards and compliance requirements. Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of PMO templates, processes, and documentation to support consistent project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of PMO templates, processes, and documentation to support consistent project delivery.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting, planning, and operational processes across the portfolio.
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate project and programme data to support the production of dashboards, portfolio reports, and executive summaries.
  • Support the tracking and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor delivery health and inform decision-making.
  • Ensure active budget management by tracking forecasted spend, managing purchase orders, reviewing actuals, and supporting month-end financial processes in collaboration with finance and delivery teams.
  • Support resource planning activities by analysing complex supply and demand data, identifying capacity gaps or surpluses, and producing resource capacity plans across projects and programmes.
  • Conduct analysis of plans, change logs, risk and issue registers, and dependency networks to generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the portfolio-level change control process, including preparation of governance packs and dashboard reports for steering committees and decision forums.
  • Maintain PMO systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy, supporting automation initiatives, and enabling efficient portfolio oversight.
  • Provide coordination and administrative support to project managers and PMO leadership, including meeting logistics, action tracking, and stakeholder communications.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in PMO, project support, or reporting role (regulated industry experience desirable).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with PPM tools, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage.
  • Project Management Knowledge: Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, good communication skills, and ability to work in a structured environment.
