Power BI Developer

Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on Power BI Developer to help modernise reporting and build high-impact dashboards that drive decision‑making across Operations. You’ll design robust data models, write performant DAX, and migrate legacy reports into an enterprise‑grade Power BI estate. You’ll also work closely with a Data Lead on data governance and documentation.

What you’ll do

  • Build, optimise and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports and dashboards used daily by the business.
  • Translate requirements into scalable data models and DAX measures that are accurate, fast and easy to use.
  • Consolidate and migrate reporting from Excel/other tools into Power BI; improve visual design and usability.
  • Develop reliable datasets using SQL (SQL Server/Snowflake) and Power Query (M); contribute to version control and documentation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to iterate, troubleshoot and continuously improve dashboard performance and adoption.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience with Power BI, DAX, data modelling (star/snowflake), and SQL.
  • Proven track record creating interactive, well-designed dashboards and reusable datasets.
  • Good grasp of data governance, version control (Git/SharePoint) and documentation.
  • Bonus: experience with Snowflake, Alteryx (or similar ETL/ELT), and coaching stakeholders on best practice.
