JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Principal Engine Programmer, you will be a reliable solution finder, someone who can jump in with any problem while demonstrating collaborative leadership within our engineering teams.

You will need to switch between multiple threads and leverage your experience with complex codebases, taking ownership of core engine technology, bringing innovative solutions, and debugging challenging problems. We encourage you to expand your knowledge and help shape best practices across the team.

In this role, your ideas will be highly valued as you work alongside your Lead and Technical Director to shape and contribute to the team's direction. You should have a hands-on approach with a broad understanding of architectural systems and various technical systems to help the project reach its full potential.

This is an excellent opportunity to become a leader on an unannounced AAA title and influence the codebase not only for your project but potentially across Ubisoft. We offer the freedom to test your abilities, research, and implement innovative solutions within AAA game development.

What you'll bring

At Ubisoft, we strive to attract top talent. We seek individuals who will drive our studios to success.

Joining Ubisoft means becoming part of an inclusive global brand. You will build on your success and contribute to our world-class AAA games, helping position our studio as a market leader.

We offer a strong knowledge base in the games industry and excellent career progression opportunities within a critically acclaimed brand portfolio.

What we’ll provide

We prioritize our people’s creativity and wellbeing, which is why we create engaging AAA titles and foster a collaborative, inclusive environment. Our hybrid working model requires on-site presence approximately 3 days per week, promoting a vibrant work culture.

We are committed to mental health and wellbeing, recognized as a Gold Employer in the Mind Workplace Wellbeing Index and partners of Safe in Our World. We offer training and resources to support mental health proactively.
