We are looking for individuals who want to shape the future of tunnelling and underground structures within major Civils projects across the UK and beyond. This role focuses on tunnelling and underground structure design and management services for public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver: Act as a Design Lead for elements of a project, liaising directly with clients and the wider design team for the day to day design development but being guided by a Technical Lead / mentor
  • Provide Expertise: Manage more junior engineers in the design of infrastructure elements
  • Deliver: Provide input to the develop

Qualifications

  • You will ideally be educated to degree level in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering, and/or have MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics/Geotechnical/Tunnelling Engineering, with/working towards a professional membership.
  • You will have broad experience as a designer in Reinforced Concrete to Eurocodes in relation to underground structures such as secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, in situ concrete structural elements, D-Walls, shafts and tunnels.
  • A Civil or Structural Engineer with good familiarity of Geotechnical Engineering principles as they apply to soil-structure interaction
