  • Proven ability to produce and review technical outputs such as specifications, reports, and pumping/water system designs; familiar with schedules and collaborative planning reviews.
  • Ability to deliver construction and commissioning services and provide engineering input to design outputs in collaboration with other disciplines (e.g., General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, Control Philosophies, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
  • Strong communication skills with ability to deliver technical presentations to clients and design engineers; capable of contributing to collaborative design discussions, technical workshops, safety reviews (including HAZOPs and ALMs).
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to the Flood and Coastal Mechanical team and support the development of junior engineers.
  • Understanding of how lowland drainage pumping stations operate and experience assessing existing site infrastructure to develop and deliver mechanical designs; awareness of the Eel Regulations 2009 and their implications on flood and coastal pumping stations.
  • Interest in the energy, infrastructure & water sectors in a mechanical engineering capacity is welcome.

Most importantly, you will embody and support our values of client focus, designing with community in mind, collaboration and service excellence.
