Primary Electrical Design Engineer

Great role to join one of the UKs most rapidly expanding renewable energy businesses, working as a Principal Engineer leading on utility scale solar & BESS projects.

Location: Leeds

This role is for one of the most exciting businesses in the renewable energy market! Starting with a headcount of 3 in January, they are on course to increase headcount significantly by the end of the year. You will be working for a global leader in renewable energy projects involving various technologies.

This company is a leading renewable energy & energy efficiency firm with offices worldwide, expanding into mainland Europe. They are one of the fastest-growing sustainability companies with a highly skilled team and low staff turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create detailed electrical layouts for DNO & ICP projects
• Produce cable routing, equipment sizing, layouts, schematics, protection control, keyline, and cable block diagrams
• Serve as an electrical design specialist internally and externally
• Participate in site visits as part of a flexible hybrid working model
• Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
• Worked with transmission, distribution, DNO, ICP, or other power projects
• Experience with DNO/DSO/ICP or design consultancy beneficial
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
