Overview

Procurement Heads is working with a well-established Food business, a market leader in their field, to support the recruitment of a Procurement Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role manages a spend of circa £50 million and heads up a small team which focuses on indirects procurement categories, including Marketing, IT, HR Services, Facilities Management, Finance and Professional Services. The role is responsible for leading this area, including managing and coaching two Buyers. In addition, the successful candidate will drive strategic procurement activities, evaluate existing and new suppliers, negotiate supplier contracts and manage supplier relationships.

Key skills

• Experience in a similar role, ideally within an FMCG environment, and including staff management/coaching responsibilities
• Strong category management experience, and knowledge of indirects procurement categories (e.g. IT, HR, FM, Professional Services)
• Demonstrable experience operating as a commercially and customer driven procurement professional and true business partner, ideally within a Food/FMCG business environment
• Knowledge of working with SAP Ariba desirable
• Availability to start at short notice (ideally no longer than one month)

Location, remuneration & timeframe

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000
Completion Bonus: 20%, payable in full if complete all KPI's
Car Allowance: £7,250 (Paid Monthly)
Healthcare Allowance: £66.67 per month, payable after the successful completion of a 3-month probation period
Pension: Able to join after successful completion of a 3-month probation period
Hybrid working: 3 days on site (West London)
