Location: Manchester (Trafford Park, near MediaCity) – Hybrid (2 days in office)
Salary: £40,000–£55,000 + benefits (25 days holiday, pension, flexible working)

The Company
A fast-scaling data technology business working with major names in media, marketing, and research. They provide behavioural data from real devices, enabling evidence-based decisions at scale. With rapid growth underway, the business is building out a central analytics function to support both internal teams and external clients.
The Role
This is a hands-on data analyst role with broad exposure to product, technical, and commercial teams. You’ll work directly with stakeholders, taking half-formed questions and turning them into clear, data-led answers. From uncovering churn metrics to evaluating server performance or understanding how VPNs impact user experience, you’ll be the go-to person for actionable insight in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover trends and guide decision-making.
- Build and present concise data stories to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support compliance efforts with robust monitoring and analysis.
- Develop lightweight automation to improve internal reporting and processes.
- Provide insights on marketing/media data to identify performance issues.
- Join client meetings to explain analytics in a clear, confident manner.
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a data analyst or similar role.
- Strong SQL skills – confident working with complex data structures.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to prioritise and manage open-ended requests.
- Strong analytical mindset with commercial awareness.
- Python for analysis and automation.
- Experience with technical data (servers, VPNs, compliance).
- Familiarity with marketing/media datasets.
Interview Process
- Initial 30-minute chat with hiring manager.
- Take-home technical task (data analysis + presentation prep).
- Final in-person interview (2 hours): culture fit, presentation, and technical deep dive with hiring team.
