Product Design Lead at Gigs — building the operating system for mobile services that lets tech companies embed global connectivity into their products.

The Role

The Product Design Lead will shape Gigs' visual identity and product experience at a critical growth stage. They will own the user experience that can compete with the strongest design-led companies, establish a comprehensive design system unifying our product suite and external presence, and lead a talented product design team to deliver exceptional user experiences.

What You Will Do

• Lead the product design team, mentoring designers and establishing processes that drive excellence and innovation.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to create intuitive, elegant user experiences that simplify complex telecom services.
• Build and evolve Gigs' brand identity and visual language, collaborating with founders to establish a distinctive market presence.
• Develop and implement a cohesive design system spanning all Gigs products and external assets, ensuring consistency across the ecosystem.
• Champion user-centered design, balancing customer needs with business objectives.
• Stay at the forefront of design trends and technologies, bringing fresh perspectives to our products.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience building and leading high-performing design teams with mentoring and talent development.
• Experience creating distinctive brand identities and design systems for ambitious technology companies.
• Strong portfolio showing product design excellence that balances aesthetics, usability, and business impact.
• Ability to create scalable design systems that maintain consistency while allowing product-specific adaptations.
• Skilled at collaborating with founders, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate vision into reality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions and gain buy-in from diverse stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality in every aspect of design.
• Experience in startup/scale-up environments and the ability to operate with urgency and adaptability.
• Good taste and clearly expressed opinions; able to communicate them internally and externally.
