OverviewProduct & Propositions Governance Business Partner to join the Customer Experience & Commercial (CX&C) Risk, Conduct & Governance team at British Gas Services & Solutions (BGS&S). You will ensure products, propositions and services meet customer value standards while aligning with regulatory and compliance commitments. You will collaborate with product development teams, commercial leads and governance specialists, acting as a trusted business partner to shape customer-focused, compliant offerings.This role supports the Product Governance & Oversight framework, drives governance processes, coordinates meetings, prepares board-level packs, captures minutes, and tracks actions. You will develop expertise in regulatory frameworks and contribute to strengthening risk-aware culture across the business.ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day running of the Product Governance & Oversight framework within the CX&C Risk, Conduct & Governance team.Partner with Commercial and Product Teams to embed governance practices that support business growth and good customer outcomes.Coordinate governance activity: scheduling, minute taking, issuing packs and tracking actions for the Product, Propositions & Services Committee and other governance forums as required.Work with Product Managers, Proposition Leads, Partnerships and Change Teams to ensure governance and compliance input during development, delivery and post-implementation phases.Help assess and document fair value, good customer outcomes and risk-related matters across the product lifecycle.Support delivery of training and awareness materials on key product governance principles and obligations.Collaborate with the wider Risk and Compliance community and champion good governance practice.Maintain governance records, logs and trackers for visibility and audit purposes.Contribute to MI and reporting dashboards to inform senior stakeholders.Provide flexible support to the wider CX&C Risk, Conduct & Governance Team and manage cross-team deliverables.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance governance, team efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.Take ownership of ad-hoc tasks and projects aligned with team objectives and business strategy.QualificationsOrganised, proactive and detail-focused with excellent coordination and control skills.Good understanding of FCA regulatory requirements such as Consumer Duty, PROD4 and ICOBS.Experience in governance, risk, compliance, or product oversight in a regulated environment (financial services or insurance preferred).Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.Skilled in managing multiple priorities, diary coordination and document control.Curious and eager to learn, with a collaborative mindset and willingness to support governance activities.Ability to demonstrate ownership and accountability for tasks with good judgment in escalating issues when required.Additional informationThere will be monthly travel involved in this role to Windsor/London. #J-18808-Ljbffr
