We have a fantastic opening for a Production Manager to join our Conventions team in Technical. You will be working across our two convention centres, the ICC in Birmingham City Centre and Vox on the NEC Campus in Solihull. These venues host conferences and meetings for up to 8,000 delegates, welcoming over 350,000 delegates annually. You will be part of a first-class team renowned for delivering incredible events.
About The Role
Your primary responsibility is to deliver the technical elements of all events, guiding your team to ensure successful technical delivery. You will develop your team through effective support, guidance, and system management, utilizing business tools as needed. Ensuring safety standards and financial expectations are met is also key.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.
- Evaluating each event to ensure it can be delivered effectively, considering neighboring events to maintain a seamless delegate experience.
- Managing local technical personnel at ICC & Vox for individual events.
About You
Our ideal candidate will:
- Plan, organize, and deliver technical elements for all events across ICC and Vox.
- Have a good understanding of technical possibilities and equipment used within the venues.
- Upsell technical items or room theming to enhance production values, using standard packages as a foundation.
- Balance client, catering, and technical requirements to ensure resources and staffing are available when needed.
- Understand event schedules to ensure smooth and safe operations within allocated times.
- Support the Creative and Technical Sales team in exploring new ideas to enhance client experiences.
