Role Purpose

A Professor (Level E) is expected to provide academic leadership and foster excellence in research, innovative teaching, and engagement activities in their area of expertise. We are recruiting a Professor Level E, 0.35FTE to drive Artificial Intelligence and its application in Finance. The candidate should develop a rigorous curriculum in AI in Finance for PhD students. The role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership in Artificial Intelligence and its application in Finance
  • Develop and deliver innovative teaching and a rigorous curriculum for PhD students
  • Lead research and engagement activities in the area of AI in Finance

About You (Selection Criteria)

To be successful you must have:

  • A PhD in a related discipline, with ongoing engagement with discipline knowledge and developments
  • Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery of postgraduate courses and programs
  • Experience implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to educational excellence
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values and related policies
