We are looking for a Project Analyst to join our global Governance team. This role sits at the heart of how we understand the financial and operational health of our clinical projects. You will turn data into clear, actionable insights that help leaders make smarter decisions every day. This is a remote job in the UK, ideally near our Clinical Research Unit in Leeds.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze project profitability: Understand basic hours vs budget, milestones, or project risks to show how projects are progressing against plan.
  • Identify what’s out of scope: Flag projects that may need change orders and follow them through to ensure accurate processing.
  • Forecast resourcing needs: Help Fortrea anticipate demand and ensure the right people are on the right project today, and six or twelve months ahead.
  • Support revenue recognition: Provide data insights that strengthen our understanding of project performance and milestones achievement.

Who You Are / Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Mathematics, or a Science-related field.
  • Around 2 years’ experience in data analysis. A background in CRO, pharma or biotech is an advantage, though experience in finance, banking, IT or insurance is equally valued.
  • Proficient with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables), PowerPoint, and MS Project. Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint is a plus.

  • Visibility, proactivity, collaboration, and effective communication skills.
  • Comfort with asking tough questions and leading discussions with leadership and cross-functional teams (project managers, contracts, or revenue), including presenting at financial, project risk or change review meetings.
