Overview

A global consultancy is seeking experienced Programme Directors to join its expanding team delivering major infrastructure programmes across sectors including civil infrastructure, data centres, defence, and energy. These permanent roles are available on a hybrid basis and will focus on huge infrastructure projects in the defence and nuclear sectors, working in partnership with clients to ensure successful programme delivery. You'll be acting as the key interface between the client and the construction partners. If you have a proven track record delivering complex, high-value construction/infrastructure programmes (£250m+ as a minimum, ideally £1bn+), such as Crossrail, Hinkley Point C, or Thames Tideway this could be the role for you. You'll bring deep experience in at least some of the following: programme leadership, governance, risk management, project controls, commercial/contract management (NEC3/NEC4) and stakeholder engagement within complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead major infrastructure programmes at scale across defence and nuclear sectors, acting as the primary interface between clients and construction partners.
  • Deliver complex, high-value projects (£250m+ minimum, ideally £1bn+).
  • Provide programme leadership, governance, risk management, and project controls; manage commercial/contract aspects (NEC3/NEC4) and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with clients and delivery partners to ensure successful programme delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale construction/infrastructure programmes (examples such as Crossrail, Hinkley Point C, Thames Tideway preferred).
  • Deep experience in at least some of the following areas: programme leadership, governance, risk management, project controls, commercial/contract management (NEC3/NEC4), stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work in hybrid roles focusing on major projects in defence and nuclear sectors.
