Join to apply for the Quantitative Analysis, Off Cycle Placement in London with Citi. This program is designed to develop quantitative and trading skills through a multi-month placement within the Markets team in London. Placements run from three to six months with flexibility on start dates, with progression opportunities toward a full-time program for successful analysts.

What You’ll Do

• Create, implement, and manage mathematical models that drive success within the Markets business.
• Price, trade, and manage risk for a diverse range of market products.
• Collaborate with traders and salespeople in technical product areas, addressing client needs.
• Develop new products aligned with the firm’s risk framework and innovate within the role.
• Market new products to sales teams and assist in presenting solutions to clients when appropriate.
• Respond to client-specific requests for product solutions using your expertise and creativity.

What We’ll Need From You

You are interested in Markets, determined to succeed, and ready to contribute to a global banking environment. We value diversity and mobility, and expect candidates to have a global perspective on the future of banking.

• Masters or PhD in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Computer Science or other scientific disciplines (or in progress).
• Good understanding of finance and strong interest in Markets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Programming knowledge (VBA, Python) is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, creative approach to ideas.
• Self-starter who thrives independently and in teams, with a focus on personal growth and career development, including mobility and flexibility.
• Commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
