Job Details

Location: Hybrid working – 2 days office based in Durrington with travel to UK wide client sites.

Employment type: Permanent.

Hours: 37 per week.

Salary: Up to £39,000 - £41,000 (DOE) per annum depending on skills and experience.

Role requires standby rota 1 week in 4.

Role Overview

As the Retailer Relationship Manager working in our Wholesale Services Team, you will manage the relationships with our non-household retailers, ensuring satisfaction, resolving escalated or complex issues, and guaranteeing that services provided by Wholesale Services meet retailer needs.

Responsibilities

You will be accountable for over 25 retailers in managing the overall relationship, day‑to‑day interactions, including escalations, financial queries, and performance reporting. You will facilitate regular account meetings with retailers to ensure relationships remain positive, review outcomes, and ensure overall satisfaction levels are high. You will act as the key escalation point for all retailer issues that cannot be resolved by the Wholesale Services Team or Wholesale Service Desk Manager. Your aim will be to resolve disputes whilst maintaining commercial interests, standards, and objectives of Southern Water, and to keep retailers updated with planned and unplanned works.

Qualifications

Great experience and background working in customer operations, key account, and/or stakeholder relationship focused roles, with passion for taking ownership of retailer disputes.

Full driving licence required. Own a car. Travel to various retailer locations across the country; travel expenses reimbursed based on mileage, with accommodation covered for long distance travel.

Package

Full‑time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach between Durrington office and home.
