About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our team in London, supporting infrastructure projects across the region. This is a permanent opportunity offering hybrid working, with three days per week based in the office and two days from home.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, ensuring that project and programme risks are identified, assessed, managed, and reported effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead risk management activities across major infrastructure programmes.
  • Develop and maintain risk registers, facilitating risk identification and mitigation workshops.
  • Carry out Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRSA) to support cost, schedule, and contingency planning.
  • Support project teams in embedding risk management best practice throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders.
  • Benchmark and evaluate risk performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governance, and industry standards.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Risk Manager within infrastructure projects (rail, utilities, highways, or major capital programmes preferred).
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with QRSA techniques.
  • Proficiency with risk management tools (e.g., @Risk, Active Risk Manager, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk information clearly.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at all levels of a business.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional risk management certification (IRM, APM Risk, or equivalent) desirable.
  • Demonstrable training/experience in Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRSA) is essential.
