Job details

The role of Account Manager is to grow and develop the existing client base around the central region of the UK, so candidates should be located near our Bristol or Bromsgrove offices. You will deliver on client requirements with strong value propositions, prospect for new business using our business development methodology and expert questioning techniques to open new opportunities across our solutions portfolio. This is an individual contributor role.

For roles with office-based hybrid working: typical pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week. Account managers attend daily meetings with their client base, develop new opportunities, source prospective clients and build a long-term sustainable pipeline. You will participate in weekly team meetings, regular telephone sessions with new and prospective clients, and undertake regular coaching sessions to maximise potential. Regular training and development sessions are provided to meet customer and company expectations. The successful candidate will have a strong and coherent plan for finding and winning new business and a proven track record of doing so.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a clear plan and track record for finding and winning new business.

Skills and experience

  • Ideally from a managed print, IT or Telecoms background with familiarity in contract-based selling.
  • Highly active in the field, client-oriented, excellent communicator, experienced negotiator, and client-first mindset.
  • Strong telephone skills, first-class presentation abilities, comfortable with numbers, and experience using a CRM system to report sales activity.
  • Collaborative with colleagues across departments to deliver unmet client needs.
  • Can-do attitude, willingness to work with peers, and ability to work in a team environment.
