Role Summary

Senior Analysts and Senior Medical Writers take a leading role across projects and work alongside the teams to ensure that client deliverables are created to an exceptionally high standard, in line with agreed timelines. This involves providing strategic advice to clients at project initiation, supervision of the project team and regular interaction with clients. Senior Analysts and Senior Medical Writers are central to the quality control of a project, involving the review of colleagues' work and the provision of constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Lead diverse Medical Communications projects within a skilled project team to deliver high-quality work to clients. Review junior colleagues\' work for accuracy and quality, as well as plan and oversee projects.

  • Location: Global Headquarters in Cambridge, with offices in London, Manchester and Bristol

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: £50,000 per annum

Role Details

  • Hybrid Working Policy: Flexible arrangements allow time from home after probation. During probation (normally first 6 months) you may work from home 1 day per week.
  • Career Progression: Career paths include progression to Consultant or Publication Manager with responsibilities for client management, budgeting, business development and potentially line management.
  • Projects: Work across Publications (strategic planning, poster design, manuscript production, abstract development) and Medical Affairs (advisory boards, medical information materials, congress support, education materials).

About You

We are looking for collaborative, self-motivated individuals with professional experience within an agency setting (typically at least two years). Experience should include:

  • Delivery of medical communications projects – publications, medical affairs, or both
  • Direct client communication and adapting to different communication styles
  • Day-to-day leadership of project teams, including delegation and time management

Essential requirements include:

  • A degree in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1). Specialisms welcome (biology, chemistry, pharmacy, medicine, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and high written accuracy
  • Strong English writing skills and ability to tailor style for different audiences
  • Project management skills ensuring timely delivery
  • Proficient data presentation skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to provide client recommendations on content and approach
  • Ability to maintain high-quality deliverables under multiple demands
  • Proven ability to build robust client relationships
  • Ability to motivate colleagues and lead project components
