Overview

Senior Analysts and Senior Medical Writers take a leading role across projects and work closely with teams to ensure client deliverables are created to a high standard, in line with agreed timelines. They provide strategic input at project initiation, supervise project teams, and maintain regular client interaction. They are central to quality control, including review of colleagues’ work and constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Lead diverse Medical Communications projects within a skilled project team to deliver high-quality work to clients.
  • Review junior colleagues’ work for accuracy and quality; plan and oversee projects.
  • Collaborate across Medical Communications sub-teams in Publications and Medical Affairs to deliver client deliverables.
  • Support business development by cultivating and sustaining client relationships and identifying opportunities to offer additional services.
  • As you progress, may manage client relationships, prepare budgets, oversee project finances, and serve as a line manager for interns.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1). Fields welcomed include biology, chemistry, pharmacy, medicine, and related areas.
  • Professional experience in an agency setting (typically at least two years).
  • Delivery of medical communications projects (publications, medical affairs, or both) and experience communicating with clients.
  • Strong leadership of project teams, ability to delegate tasks and manage timelines.
  • Excellent written English and arithmetic, with strong scientific writing skills and the ability to tailor writing style to different audiences.
  • Project management skills for timely project delivery; data presentation skills with MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to provide strategic content recommendations and maintain high-quality deliverables under multiple demands.
  • Proven ability to build robust and sustainable client relationships and motivate team members.

Working Arrangement

Role type: Full-time, permanent. Start dates are throughout 2025 and 2026, including November, December, and January; availability will be stated on the application form. Hybrid working policy supports a mix of in-office and remote work.
