Role: Senior Automation Tester

Location: Newport (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £53k

Pension: 28.9%

We are now looking for a Senior Automation Tester to design, build and maintain automated testing solutions that support continuous delivery. You will work closely with developers, product teams and other specialists to ensure high-quality, user-focused digital services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain automated UI and API test suites.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure appropriate unit and integration test coverage.
• Contribute to the design, coding, testing and documentation of scalable, reusable solutions.
• Identify, manage and report defects, risks and issues.
• Build automated test solutions from scratch aligned with agreed standards and principles.
• Develop and use toolkits and APIs to support integration, performance, security and scalability.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering technical solutions within large projects.
• Hands-on experience testing both front-end and back-end web services.
• Skilled in automation tools (e.g. MS Visual Studio with C#, Selenium, SpecFlow, MSTest, RestSharp, JavaScript).
• Experience with non-functional test tools (e.g. JMeter, Azure Load Test).
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure), Azure DevOps, GitHub and SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery models and test documentation (strategies, approaches).
• Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
