Are you a Chartered Senior Bridge Engineer ready for your next big challenge? Join our Transportation team in either Salford or Penrith! In this role, you'll take the lead on developing scheme designs, reports, and technical documentation, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. You'll also play a pivotal role in carrying out structural inspections and managing structural assessments.

Location: Salford / Penrith - remote working available, with travel to the office required

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the overall delivery of the workload of the Structures team within the Salford and Penrith Structures offices, including assessment and design checks.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of the programme by producing, developing, and overseeing sound bridge design, assessment, and maintenance solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale.
• Develop and design solutions in accordance with national design and assessment standards.
• Produce and oversee designs that comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations.
• Contribute to regular progress reports to clients by communicating with line managers regarding their progress against the planned programme.

Who are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you are:

• A Chartered Engineer (CEng, MICE, MIStructE, or equivalent).
• Experienced in a similar role within bridge or highways disciplines.
• Proven experience in bridge design and assessment standards and methods of analysis.
• Skilled in managing and delivering projects within programme and budget constraints.
