Senior Business Analyst role at Financial Conduct Authority.

The post holder will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects that build trust in our financial markets, with a focus on data-led regulation and addressing potential consumer harm through new systems and processes.

Division and Salary

Division – Change

Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £52,400 to £71,200 and London £57,700 to £78,300 per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

About the FCA

The FCA regulates the conduct of 45,000 firms in the UK to ensure our financial markets are honest, fair and competitive. Our Business and Technology Solutions Division (BTS) transforms the FCA into a data-led regulator. BTS comprises divisional service teams (DST) and product groups delivering change across technology, regulation, and process improvements.

The postholder will work on exciting projects that help deliver better outcomes for consumers and markets, including data-focused initiatives with machine learning and powerful search capabilities to optimise data use.

  • Support regulatory projects to operationalise new financial policies through new systems and processes
  • Deliver key business changes and push process improvements
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement changes
  • Contribute to the delivery and operation of systems and services

Skills and Required Experience

Minimum

  • Has held a role as “Business Analyst” or “Consultant”
  • Substantial project/programme environments involving business and IT change
  • Prior experience in financial services, government/regulatory body, technology, or IT consultancy

Essential

  • Vast knowledge of business analysis tools, techniques and best practices, including end-to-end requirements management
  • Delivers quality outputs at pace in structured and fluid project environments
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills; builds engagement with SMEs, sponsors, and delivery teams
  • Experience across Waterfall and Agile project delivery
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for stakeholders at all levels
