Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

*The post has a hybrid working model between the post holder's home and our office based in Gloucester, with a minimum of 2 days per month in the office.*

We are looking for a highly talented individual to work within the Business Intelligence Team at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust and to support Business Partnering for our operational services.

The post will contribute to the delivery of the team objectives by producing timely presentations of information, completing reports accurately and concisely, and monitoring performance against local and national targets for services delivered by Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The role requires using a variety of data and analytical skills, including data collection techniques, data manipulation, data interpretation, and appropriate statistical analysis methods.

Proactively promoting the use of information is also a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate complex reports to non-statisticians, explaining the methodology clearly and using effective visualizations.
  2. Explain conflicting information that may be challenging or contentious, with significant organizational or service delivery impacts.
  3. Challenge assumptions where appropriate.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of all person patient identifiable data (both patients and staff).
  5. Identify problems and inconsistencies within complex datasets and propose solutions.
  6. Compare Trust data quality with benchmarks and external organizations, identifying good practices and areas for improvement.
  7. Work closely with Operations, Clinical Systems, and Data Warehouse teams to ensure key priorities and deadlines are met.
  8. Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Manage day-to-day tasks as part of line management responsibilities.
  10. Plan and organize to meet deadlines and balance conflicting priorities.
  11. Ensure all processes and procedures are fully documented.
