This Senior Buyer role sits in a team of 10 and reports into a Senior Trading Controller. It offers a broad scope - you'll lead category strategy, manage supplier relationships, and work cross-functionally with pricing, finance, and supply chain to deliver real results. • Up to £65,000 basic + car allowance + bonus

Responsibilities

• Lead category strategy across assigned ranges, driving performance and value.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contract terms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with pricing, finance, and supply chain to deliver results.
• Provide commercial insight and decision-making support to optimise category performance.
• Influence decisions and shape processes to improve category outcomes.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in retail or wholesale buying, ideally at Senior Buyer level or close to it.
• Fresh food knowledge is advantageous but not essential; attitude and commercial thinking count just as much.
