Senior Buyer | National Food Retailer | West Midlands | Up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus. This role sits in a team of 10 and reports into a Senior Trading Controller. You’ll lead category strategy, manage supplier relationships, and work cross-functionally with pricing, finance, and supply chain to deliver real results. The position offers a balance of autonomy and support, with room to influence decisions and shape how the category performs.

Responsibilities

• Lead category strategy and manage supplier relationships.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with pricing, finance, and supply chain to drive results.
• Provide commercial thinking and a head for numbers to drive product performance.
• Influence decisions, challenge processes, and shape category outcomes with a mindset of ownership.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in retail or wholesale buying, ideally at Senior Buyer level or close to it.
• Fresh food knowledge is advantageous but not essential; attitude and commercial thinking are key.

• Up to £65,000 basic + car allowance + bonus.
