Senior Category Manager (Direct Materials)

London (1 day office per week). A Global Technology organisation is recruiting for a new Senior Category Manager to join its Procurement function on an initial 9-12 months fixed term contract basis. This role will lead on strategic sourcing and category management for Direct Materials; experience of data center builds would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies for direct material categories aligned with the Global Category team.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation and contracting on a regional basis.
• Drive sustainability initiatives to improve products and solutions.
• Lead supplier management, including KPI tracking and on-time delivery (OTD), and support governance and quality processes.
• Drive stakeholder engagement across the region, collaborating with internal teams (including engineering and operations).
• Travel to the London office as required (approximately weekly or fortnightly).

Qualifications

• Proven direct materials category experience at a senior level within procurement.
• Experience in a global matrix-structured environment is ideal.
