Senior CIAM Engineer
Location: Edinburgh, Peterborough or Witham (office attendance generally required periodically; details discussed during interview). Company: Aegon UK, Enterprise Technology.
Contract: Permanent.
Salary: £39,120 – £48,900 per annum, depending on experience.
Working hours: Non‑standard (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM BST) to collaborate globally.
Job Description Summary
As Senior CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) Engineer, you’ll provide expert consultancy on identity, directory, and security solutions, focusing on platforms such as IBM Security Access Manager, Okta, Ping, and related Federation services. You’ll design and support web and identity infrastructure, including SharePoint, WebSphere, IIS, Tomcat, and Apache, ensuring secure, integrated, and resilient services. You’ll also cover internet security, third‑party integrations, domain and SSL management, and produce clear technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain CIAM strategies utilising Okta, Ping, IBM ISAM, and Federation Services.
Support, document, and enhance CIAM integrations across platforms.
Provide technical expertise, focusing on automation and process improvement.
Deliver complex solutions independently, with minimal oversight.
Uphold SLA and optimise web service performance.
Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Experience & Skills
Experience with IBM Security Access Manager and Okta/Auth0.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
Knowledge of DNS, networking, Java/.NET, cloud, and scripting (JSON, PowerShell, Ansible, Java, Terraform).
Understanding of access management, PKI, and security technologies.
Expertise in SAML, OpenID, OAuth, federation, and hybrid cloud.
Experience with ISAM/WebSEAL, cloud identity, and automation.
Strategic thinking and zero‑trust familiarity.
